Trader Workstation, Knight BondPoint's online trading and distribution
platform, provides advanced fixed income trading capabilities
and unprecedented access to inventory for market professionals.
It enables firms to have direct access to secondary trading,
new issues, news and tools via an Internet or FIX connection.
Offering firms may list their inventory on the Knight BondPoint platform,
and firms can buy and sell on the Knight BondPoint platform on behalf
of their clients.
The Trader Workstation resembles the Knight BondPoint Broker Workstation (see below) but has additional and advanced functionality specifically designed for traders. It includes access to live secondary market trading, new issues, advanced reports (offerings, portfolio, ladders) news, and tools through a seamless web interface.
Most significantly, the Trader Workstation shows thousands of street offerings available for electronic execution on the ECN. Reporting functionality including the ability to run ladders and offerings reports is more advanced with the ability to build-in mark-ups from the trading desk (GTC) and a sales credit (GSC).
Features include:
- Query and view thousands of lines of inventory.
- Buy and sell munis, corporates, agencies, treasuries, zeros/strips, CMOs, CDs.
- Build ladders, offering sheets or portfolio reports for internal or external use with appropriate pricing by audience.
- Gain unique access to new issues, including municipals, corporates, agencies, and CDs.

When the VB Trader Workstation is implemented with the Knight BondPoint Enterprise Broker Workstation it also performs several other crucial functions:

- Order Management for Orders from the Broker Workstation
- Order Management of Bids from the ECN for your inventory
- Trade Blotter and Search
- User Management for Reps on the Broker Workstation

Bond Express, used for inventory and pricing searches by market professionals for over a decade, was purchased by Knight BondPoint Inc. in 2001. Knight BondPoint is no longer adding new users to Bond Express and is transitioning existing users to the Knight BondPoint Trader Workstation for enhanced functionality at no additional charge. Please ask your sales rep how you can be transferred to the Knight BondPoint Trader Workstation if you are a current Bond Express user.
